The Atlanta World Kite Festival and Expo is an event INCLUSIVE OF ALL to celebrate families! Just as the kite is able to move freely with only the influence of the wind, our festival brings people together across religious, cultural, social and economic lines. Free of any and all restrictions. Our objective is to encourage outdoor family fun! This one-day event is BYOK (bring your own kite), but if you don’t have one, there are many available for purchase. The AWKF features participatory kite flying as well as demos for industry renowned flyers. Additional attractions include world dance performances, pop-up food tents from local haunts, live music, contests & giveaways and appearances by Freddie Falcon and Harry Hawk. This is a free event.
