Memphis Japan Festival

The 2017 Memphis Japan Festival celebrates the history, culture and people of Japan. The Festival is presented by the Japan-America Society of Tennessee and will be held outdoors, rain or shine, on Sunday, September 24, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. on the TruGreen Lawn of the Memphis Botanic Garden, with performances on the Jim Duncan Stage and tours of the Japanese Garden throughout the day.

Admission is $5 per adult and $2.50 for children 12 - 3 years old. Admission is free for Garden members and for children under 2 years. Enter the festival through the North Gate. Parking is free of charge in the North Lot. Admission includes the Memphis Japan Festival and the Memphis Botanic Garden, including the special "David Rogers’ Big Bugs at the Garden" sculpture exhibit. These special discounted admission prices are available on Festival Day only and are compliments of Memphis Botanic Garden.

Festival highlights include a full day of Japanese music and dance, martial arts demonstrations, a roving Japanese Candyman, Japanese cultural exhibits, Japanese and anime merchandise, children’s activities and Japanese and Japanese-inspired food from local restaurants and food trucks. The Memphis Japan Festival is a signature event for the tri-state region offering a fun, family-friendly, interactive and hands-on experience of Japanese culture.
